FOTO RELEVANCE

Since 2016, Foto Relevance co-founders Geoffrey Koslov and Bryn Larsen have focused on the exhibition and acquisition of museum quality contemporary fine art photography and photography-based work. Opening with an inaugural show as part of FotoFest 2018 Biennial’s Participating Spaces, Foto Relevance quickly established itself as one of the leading galleries in the region devoted to the art of contemporary photography.
Foto Relevance is dedicated to providing a platform for an innovative selection of American and international photographic artists pushing the boundaries of photography. The gallery is committed to expanding beyond our borders, representing international artists such as Torrie Groening and Lou Peralta, based in Vancouver and Mexico City, respectively.
The gallery has mounted monographic exhibitions as well as group shows to investigate current trends and themes in contemporary art, showcasing an unusual range of both darkroom and digital photographic techniques. Work shown includes Robert Langham III’s “Magic & Logic” silver gelatin prints, Paul-André Larocque’s paint-embellished, photomontage “POP” series, Laurie Lambrecht’s traditional nature photography, and Margeaux Walter’s consumerism-focused performance art and video. In addition to promoting the work of our stable of artists, the strength of Foto Relevance is in guiding and educating individual collectors and corporations in the acquisition and sale of art.
Foto Relevance is a proud member of the Houston Art Gallery Association (HAGA). The gallery is located in the historic Museum District in Houston, Texas in close proximity to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Menil, and the Houston Center for Photography.
